This year has been so surprising to all of us. Who would have thought that going out of your house can pose a health threat to you and yours? Having plans, going out, and enjoying things outside of the home seem like a story passed down through generations. We have all been touched by the…

Boundaries

May 23, 2020Categories Adulting 1012 Comments on Boundaries

Before my husband and I got married, I purchased Boundaries by Henry Cloud and John Townsend. I wanted something to prepare us for the joining of two families. I wanted to know what should be expected and what is realistic, and how both of us could handle it in a loving manner. The investment in…

Why Boundaries are Important

November 23, 2019Categories Adulting 101, MarriageLeave a Comment on Why Boundaries are Important

A few nights ago, I was steaming, waiting for my husband to arrive. We had both worked during the day and he had left for the gym right after I was done. The baby was getting fussy and my attempts to entertain her were not successful. Please note that the prequel to this includes five…

Out for a treat with the little tribe.
Yes my tree is still up... but there is a good reason behind it. You see, yesterday was Three Kings Day. In order to celebrate my childhood and keep my heritage alive for our little one, we decided to each year extend Christmas and share a small gift. I grew up in the Caribbean and even though I got gifts on Christmas Day, there usually was something for us on el dia de los Reyes. In any way I can, I want to pass on to our baby family traditions and treasures from her island side.
Merry Christmas from our little family to yours! A little bit of our Christmas Eve Celebration. A time for fostering hope, for in Jesus our salvation was born.
Go vote. It’s your right; it’s your responsibility.
This is how you know that you have great friends: they help you pick up the messes in life. Our friend offered to help get a hand around the crazy weeds in our backyard. It was so hot and the job took about four hours.
Happy Father’s Day to @mr._grape_2015. I couldn’t have gotten a better partner for this sweet adventure.
